Are you looking
for an experience of a life time where you can grow, learn, teach and
fellowship with your Sisters and Brothers.
If so join us on the last Saturday of every month at the PM Workshop
starting at 11:00 a.m.
The monthly workshops have established a program called "Thy Brother's Keeper". With the approval of the Chapter Members in attendance at the February workshop, we have agreed to support the November Preemie Babies’ campaign by crocheting beanie hats to be delivered to neonatal units at the local and/or national hospitals as needed. Our goal is to have 200 hats made. We are asking Past Matrons and Patrons who are unable to join in the actual making of the hats, to possible make a monetary donation for the purchase of the materials needed. In addition to our normal monthly workshop activities, we will be offering "crochet 101" classes to all who are interested in helping with this project. It was also suggested at the February workshop that once we got proficient at making preemie baby hats, we consider doing the same for cancer patients who have lost their hair through chemo therapy, or for the ladies in nursing homes. All of these projects have merit. Bring your thoughts, talents and a willingness to learn to the workshops.
The "Preemie Babies Beanie" project was a success! Over 140 beanies, blankets, booties, and other crochet items were sent to the Neonatal Intensive Care unit of Grady Health Foundation, 191 Peachtree St. Ne, Atlanta, GA 30303. The Past Matron/Patron Council would like to thank all that participated in making this endeavor a success.
